The Polish striker joked about what happened in 2020 when he was robbed

Robert Lewandowski and Karim Benzema are two of the candidates for the Ballon d’Or award on Monday. The first for scoring a lot for Bayern last season, the second for being a key part of the league and Champions League double won by Real Madrid.

The Frenchman is a big favourite, although the Pole still has a lot to say. In an advance of the interview they have done with him, Movistar released a clip where he says “probably Benzema wins it”.

It comes with a joke aimed at France Football, for cancelling the award in 2020 when he would have won it.

“(Benzema’s) probably one of the favourites, if they don’t cancel it, then he’ll probably win it this year,” said Lewandowski.
