'France Football' revealed the nominees for this year's prize

The names were given throughout the day on Monday

The 30 nominees for the Ballon d'Or won't be a secret for much longer. The magazine France Football, who give the prize, will announce the players up for the award throughout Monday, between 09.00 and 19.15 hours. 

Every hour, the magazine will reveal more names, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi one again the clear favourites for the award. If Ronaldo wins it, he will match the five won previously by Messi. 

Neymar was in the first batch of nominees with Barcelona's Luis Suarez and Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho in the second set of five, which was revealed at midday. 

Finally, later in the afternoon, the two favourites, Ronaldo and Messi were confirmed as being on the shortlist. 

There were six lots of five nominees announced and here are the final 30.
