Simeone, Koke, Griezmann, Herrera & Felix positive for Covid-19
Atletico have revealed a mini outbreak at the club following the winter break
Diego Simeone, Koke, Antoine Griezmann, Hector Herrera and Joao Félix have all tested positive for Covid-19 at Atletico Madrid.
Atletico's announcement comes as the number of cases at LaLiga clubs grows. Barça have revealed 10 positives among first-team players, while Real Madrid confirmed another four on Wednesday.
"After the LaLiga Christmas break, the entire first-team squad and the members of the coaching staff underwent PCR tests, in accordance with the LaLiga protocol," Atletico said Thursday.
"Simeone, Koke, Griezmann, Herrera and Joao Félix have tested positive for COVID-19.
"All of them are asymptomatic and isolating at their respective homes, in strict compliance with the health authorities' guidelines."
