The Uruguayan has been against them for Barcelona and now Atletico Madrid in another derby

As years go by and shirts change, some rivalries never change. That's the case for Luis Suarez, who faces Real Madrid with Atletico Madrid.

"No way," said Suarez in October to ESPN, when asked if he'd sign for Los Balncos. He scored 11 in 16 against them with Barcelona.

Suarez's debut came against Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on October 25, 2014, a 3-1 defeat, but he found the net and from there he went on to become Barca's third highest goalscorer of all time.

The forward has gone seven games unbeaten against Madrid, since the Spanish Super Cup in 2017, when Los Blancos won home and away.

Since then Suarez has four wins and three draws, with seven goals in those seven games.

He's a goalscoring guarantee against Madrid, with five of his 11 goals away from home.

"We need a lot from Luis, because he's a very important player for the team," said Diego Simeone on Friday. He's the club's top scorer this season, level with Joao Felix on five. Suarez has played 439 minutes to Joao's 647.
