Diego Simeone: We had chances to extend our lead but didn't take them
The coach spoke after Atletico Madrid's 1-0 win over Getafe on Sunday night
Atletico beat Getafe 1-0 in their season opener, in a tight clash. Atleti coach Diego Simeone spoke after the game.
"The first week is tough for us, today was no diffeent. I think we had a very good first half and after we had the chance to stretch our lead like with Molina's red card and the penalty, but we couldn't. That's normal that a brave, strong and hard-working team like Getafe will cause you problems," explained the coach.
"They are a very good team, they fight and press well, they never let their guard down and were always in the game. Congratulations to them becuase they are a competitive team who I like to watch."
On Joao Felix, he added: "He has a lot of things to improve, he's a boy who's growing and we hope that he can improve game by game."
