Atletico Madrid offer Juanfran another year on his contract

Atletico Madrid defender Juanfran has received a contract offer of one more year from the club - which would be his ninth season there.

With Diego Godin to Inter Milan and Lucas Hernandez to Bayern gathering pace, Diego Simeone doesn't want to lose another piece of his defence.

Juanfran is versatile and can play on either flank, making him useful for the caoch. He is also an experienced player who can help the transition of new players who arrive. Even though Sime Vrsaljko and Santiago Arias have joined to fight for his position, he's still getting games.

Alberto and Lorenzo Toldrá, the player's agents, have been given the offer and with Juanfran they must decide if he stays or leaves.
