Alvaro Morata injured leaving Atletico Madrid barren
The Rojiblancos are already without Diego Costa, Joao Felix and didn't sign Edinson Cavani
Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata has suffered an injury to a muscle in his right leg which will keep him out at the weekend against Granada.
The club released a medical statement Monday explaining his absence. However they have not said how long he is expected to be out for and, with Diego Costa and Joao Felix injured, Atletico face an attacking crisis.
After Granada they face Valencia and then Liverpool in the Champions League last 16. Sixth in the table, this has been a disastrous campaign for Diego Simeone and his men so far.
