The club were due to travel to Portugal for Champions League on Monday

Atletico Madrid are due for some anxious hours as they wait for the results of the latest round of coronavirus testing at the club.

Two players at Atletico tested positive for the virus over the weekend and there are fears that they could have passed it on to some of their teammates.

The two players are asymptomatic and currently in isolation. In the meantime, all operations at the club have been halted and everyone due to travel to Portugal this week has been tested for Covid-19 again.

With Monday's training off, Atletico have been forced to change their plans completely. They were due to train in the morning before flying to Lisbon later in the day ahead of Thursday's quarterfinal against RB Leipzig.

There are nerves at the clubs as they wait for the latest results to come back on Monday in the hope that no one else has been infected.

If there are no more positives, the team may be able to travel as planned, but if there are more cases, things could become complicated.

The names of the two players infected have not been revealed.
