Zinedine Zidane acknowledged that the defeat against Manchester City was a “bad result but not a bad game”.
Real Madrid last 4-1 to City in Los Angeles but Zidane said “I’m not happy with the defeat. It’s a bad result in our second game. We’re in pre-season. They were better at important moments and that’s it. Now we have to rest, we have a game on Saturday and we want to play better”.
Zidane was again very happy with the performance of the youngsters, “They all impressed me. Their young kids from the youth system. I’m not picking one player out but I was happy for Óscar with his goal. He is 18, and I’m sure he’ll be absolutely delighted to have scored for the first team. They’re all good and we’ll see what happens this year,” he said.
The manager was not worried about the result, preferring to point out that City are a good team and that all his players got some minutes under their belts.
