Young star Gavi signs new contract with Barcelona
The teenager will go from the U16s to the U19s
Pablo Páez Gavira, 'Gavi has signed a new contract with Barcelona, the Catalan club finally confirmed on Monday evening.
Gavi was one of the stars of the U16s last season (Cadete A) and the club made penning him down to a new deal a priority this summer.
The attacking midfielder, one of the brightest prospects in La Masia, will go straight to the U19s (Juvenil A), skipping the U17s (Juvenil B), where he will work with coach Franc Artiga.

Gavi signed his new deal on Monday alongside the club's director for the academy Xavi Vilajoana. The club expressed their gratitude to the player's family for "continuing to trust La Masia to develop their son as a player and a person."
The 16-year-old joined Barça as an 11-year-old from Real Betis and has always stood out as a clear example of what Barça DNA is.
