Xavi Hernandez has signed a new contract with Al-Sadd, until June 30, 2023. The club announced it on social media on Wednesday, amid rumours that Barcelona might want him to come in and replace Ronald Koeman this summer.
The Qatari club are content with Xavi’s work, and he has won four titles this season, so they were very happy to offer him a new deal.
“My exit from the team is just a rumour and I am very happy to work with these players and this club,” said Xavi a few days ago in a press conference.
Like with his previous contract, the new deal includes an exit clause if he receives an offer from FC Barcelona and decides to accept it.
