The Barcelona coach singled out the players impressing him in Qatar
Barcelona coach Xavi Hernández has taken advantage of the break for the World Cup in Qatar to travel back to the country where he finished his career as a footballer and began his journey on the bench.
Xavi is able to enjoy the competition as a spectator and was present for Spain's 1-1 draw against Germany on Sunday after arriving in Qatar on Friday.
While there, the Barça boss has spoken to FIFA and highlighted the players he has liked the most at the World Cup so far.
Xavi has considered that, so far, Richarlison has been the best finisher, Pedri and Jamal Musiala the "most talented" players, the French defenders Upamecano and Konaté the most outstanding center-backs and Jordi Alba the most striking full-back.
The Barça coach also praised the Real Madrid stopper Thibaut Courtois as the most inspired goalkeeper between the sticks.
Xavi said that he would have loved to play alongside Pedri and Gavi -- "it would be incredible", he answered specifically – and he hoped that in the event that Spain cannot win the World Cup, then Argentina and Leo Messi, "my friend," do.
