The Argentine playmaker says he won't be in the game for much longer as a player

Lionel Messi has sounded the alarms about his future. The Argentine player, who was interviewed by former player Ezequiel Lavezzi for Conmebol, revealed he won’t be “playing much longer”.

The PSG forward, 35, will play in his last World Cup this winter.

“I love playing and I enjoy it, the one thing I’ve done all my life is play football and I am sure I’ll stay related to it, although I don’t know how. I don’t think I will be playing much longer.”

The forward didn’t give too many more details.

“I don’t know, a lot of things happen. It was a dream I had since I was a kid, to play in Argentine football, I’d go to the pitch and want to be there. But today it depends on a lot, I’ve got my family here, three children, I’ve just had a big change in my life that was hard for me and my family. I’ve got over it and we feel fantastic.”
