The Argentina star hopes to win his first World Cup in Qatar

Leo Messi goes into the World Cup full of optimism and in good form after scoring a great goal and providing an assist in Argentina's 5-0 win against the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday.

And while all of Argentina focuses on the World Cup, Messi also had time to refer to his life in Paris in an interview with Conmebol. His answers show that he is very comfortable residing in the French capital, although his beginnings there were not easy at all.

"I like Paris a lot, I'm discovering the city and it's magnificent," said the Argentine star, although he admitted that this "idyll" with the city has been progressive and has taken time to adapt.

He added: "There was a big change the first year. It wasn't my goal to leave Barça and everything happened abruptly. But after a long time and going through difficult times, I'm happy to live here. My family and I are enjoying Paris."

And not only of the city, also in terms of football. "Right now I am enjoying everything, including football," said Messi, who is in his second season at Paris Saint-Germain, although is now all in on a much-desired World Cup.
