Barça broke the attendance record again as they edged towards the Champions League final

Barcelona hammered Wolfsburg 5-1 as they broke the attendance record in women's football for the second time in a month and edged towards a second successive Champions League final.

Alexia Putellas scored twice and there were also goals from Aitana, Graham Hansen and Hermoso in front of 91,648 fans at Camp Nou -- 95 more than witnessed the win over Real Madrid in March.

Wolfsburg scored a consolation through Jill Roord but they were powerless to stop Barça from making it 40 wins from 40 games this season.

Barça flew out of the traps at Camp Nou and led 2-0 inside 10 minutes thanks to goals from Aitana and a brilliant individual effort from Graham Hansen.

Svenja Huth could have pulled one back for Wolfsburg but it was one-way traffic and it Barca had made it four by the break with goals from Hermoso and Ballon d'Or winner Alexia.

Baça continued to pour forward in the second half but it was Wolfsburg who scored next, Roord pulling a goal back after a VAR review confirmed she was onside.

Pina hit the bar immediately after for Barça and Oshoala twice missed when clean through before Putellas finally added the fifth from the penalty spot.

The result flattered Wolfsburg if anything, with the second leg taking play in Germany next Saturday.
