Where will the Copa del Rey final be? And on what day?

In theory it will take place on Saturday May 27, although this might be affected if Celta Vigo go far in the UEFA Europa League

The Copa del Rey final 2016-17 still needs a venue and a kick-off time, and it will depend on the teams left in the tournament - FC Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Celta Vigo and Deportivo Alaves.

In theory it will take place on Saturday May 27, although this might be affected if Celta Vigo go far in the UEFA Europa League, because the final for that is on May 24 in Sweden.

Should they reach the final the Copa del Rey could change to May 28, moved forward 24 hours. In the case Atletico and Barcelona go far in the Champions League, it will not have an effect on the Copa final as the UCL final is not until June 3, in Cardiff.

Atletico have offered their stadium as a potential final venue, regardless of whether they reach the final itself - it could be the last game played at the Vicente Calderon.

Meanwhile Athletic Bilbao are studying the option of offering the San Mames for the final. The Mestalla in Valencia and La Cartuja in Sevila are other options, although with Real Madrid eliminated the Santiago Bernabeu will not be made available.
