Washington Post: There will be a Las Vegas Clasico
The American newspaper says a friendly between Barca and Madrid will happen
Relevent Sports Group, the company that organises the International Champions Cup, are looking at their calendar for summer 2020. And they are planning another Clasico, the Washington Post reported on Thursday.
The game would in theory take place at the Allegiant Stadium, the new home of NFL team Oakland Raiders. The new stadium has a 61,000 capacity.
Although it's not confirmed yet, sources close to the negotiations say that the SoFi stadium in LA could also be the home of the game. They met in a friendly in Miami in the summer of 2017, when the Brazilian winger Neymar moved to Paris Saint-Germain.
“We are always exploring compelling matches, but at this time, no ICC matches are finalized,” said Ben Sosenko, a spokesman for the group.
