The youngster joins Los Che on loan from RB Leipzig in Germany

Former Barcelona midfielder Ilaix Moriba has joined Valencia on loan until the summer, the Spanish club confirmed on Friday.

Ilaix, 19, left Barça for RB Leipzig six months ago but has found football hard to come by in Germany so has taken the chance to return to Spain.

"Valencia CF have reached an agreement with RB Leipzig for the signing of Ilaix Moriba, an international with Guinea Conakry," Los Che said Friday.

"The midfielder arrives on loan until the end of the season and will begin work under coach José Bordalás this Sunday.

"A graduate of the FC Barcelona youth academy, Ilaix Moriba has been identified as one of the most promising players at international level.

"He arrives having been one of the sensations of the African Cup of Nations, where he was named Best Young Player in the Group Stage."
