He's the youngest foreign player to play for the club's first team

Valencia have confirmed that midfielder Yunus Musah has extended his contract with the club until 2026.

Musah, who turned 18 last month, is enjoying a breakout season at Mestalla and has already become a regular in Javi Gracia's team.

He became the youngest foreign player to debut for the club when he played against Levante in the first game of the season and he became the second youngest scorer at the club when he netted against Getafe.

"I'm very happy to have signed for Valencia CF and now to have renewed my contract," he said.

"I can't wait for what the future holds. It's a dream come true for myself and for my family. Something that I've dreamed of ever since I was young was to have a first-team contract with a big club. For that to happen at Valencia CF is even bigger.

"As always, I thank God for making this possible. My parents, my family and everybody else have worked really hard to help me get here. It's a great moment and a great thing to achieve."

Musah joined Valencia from Arsenal in 2019 and spent last season with the club's B team. He has represented England at youth level but recently played two friendlies for the United States national team.

He is also eligible for Ghana, where his parents come from, and Italy, where he grew up before moving to London.
