Toni Duggan set to join Atletico Madrid after Barça deal expired

Toni Duggan is set to move to Atletico Madrid. After her contract expired with Barcelona, the England forward has been one of the most sought after players on the market. She had plenty of offers, especially in her homeland.
Manchester United seemed the best placed to sign her, but SPORT have learned that Atletico will win the race for her signature. They are looking to strengthen their attack after losing Jenni Hermoso and Esther González.
With Duggan and Charlyn Corral, the Spanish champions would line up with a completely new attack
Also moving to the Spanish capital is Swedish international Sofia Jakobsson, who will join Real Madrid (CD Tacon) after her deal expired with Montpellier in France.
The midfielder, 29, had a great World Cup and will become Los Blancos' third signing after Swedish teammate Kosovare Asllani and the Brazilian Thaisa.
