Victoria has ideas for him to become the "David Beckham of the tennis world"

Romeo Beckham, the son of David and Victoria Beckham, shares a passion for sport with his father. But the teenager, now 16, has turned his attention to tennis after starting out as a footballer.

The son of the former Manchester United and Real Madrid player was part of Arsenal's academy, along with his brothers, but has not followed in his father's footsteps. He gave up football at 13.

David and Victoria have accepted the decision and are giving him all their support as he looks to make it in the tennis world.

According to the Daily Mail, they have invested 34,300 euros in building a tennis court at their mansion in the Cotswolds, so that Romeo can train in the best possible conditions.

The English media say Victoria wants young Romeo to become the "David Beckham of the tennis world" and report that she wants him to train as often as possible and with the best coaches.

In fact, Romeo Beckham has already shared the court with some of the world's best players from the ATP and WTA  circutis, such as Caroline Wozniacki, Andy Murray and Grigor Dimitrov.

Dimitrov, 19 in the world, said: "Romeo's a tennis fanatic, he's incredible. To be honest, he's very astute and very talented."

It doesn't end there. The son of the ex-England international was at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Manacor in the summer, where he had the chance to continue his development.

With the resources available to him and the passion for the sport in his veins, it's not hard to see Romeo making in the tennis world.
