Xavi's angry team talk that changed everything in Supercopa semifinal
The Barcelona coach was furious with the attitude of his players in extra time
Barcelona coach Xavi Hernández harangued his players during the half-time break of extra time in the semifinal match of the Spanish Supercopa against Real Betis.
The reason for this anger came from seeing how his players showed an attitude on the pitch that he did not like very much.
The coach gathered all the players around him to say the following words: "Guys, we're all standing! It's a final, it's a trophy, for fuck's sake."
It was during a throw-in due to be taken by Koundé when Xavi saw that the full-back could not take it because he could not find any free teammates. Neither Lewandowski, nor Busquets, nor Pedri moved excessively until Kessié did make a move that allowed the ball to be released. This detail is what provoked Xavi's anger.

The players agreed with the coach after his speech and they showed a more dynamic attitude when the match resumed. "Come on, let's go," was heard in unison to undo the circle and return to the field of play to restart the game.
Barça still couldn't decide the game in extra time, though, and it was finally on penalties when the Barça players sealed the tie with a spectacular performance from Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
