De Burgos Bengoechea named referee for Sunday's Clasico Supercopa final

Barcelona and Real Madrid will meet in Saudi Arabia this weekend for the trophy

The final of the Spanish Supercopa between Barcelona and Real Madrid, due to be played this Sunday, Jan. 15 at 8:00 p.m CET., will be refereed by Ricardo De Burgos Bengoechea.

De Burgos Bengoechea will be assisted by Roberto Díaz Pérez and Jon Núñez Fernández. The fourth referee will be Alejandro Muñiz Ruiz. Jose Luis González González will be in the VAR room along with with Santiago Jaime Latre and Juan Luis Pulido.

The referee has overssen two FC Barcelona games this season. One was the victory at Mestalla against Valencia and the other was Barça - Valladolid, which ended with a comprehensive victory at Camp Nou.

He has not refereed any Real Madrid matches this season, so Sunday's Clásico, the final of the Spanish Supercopa, will be his debut with Los Blancos in the 22-23 season.

The Basque referee has shown 42 yellow cards and five red cards in the nine games he has reffed this season in LaLiga.
