The draw didn't reflect Spain's play, chances and domination. They weren't efficient in front of goal against a very disciplined Swiss side.

La Roja tarted well. They created an early chance but Koke's shot was blocked Zuber before Sommer turned a Thiago effort wide for a corner.

Iniesta and David Silva linked well, although they struggled to create much danger. It took 21 minutes for something to happen in the Swiss area, Diego Costa's knockdown drilled wide by Sommer.

Odriozola GOAL

Switzerland pressed high and well but they found themselves behind in the 29th minute when Real Sociedad's Odriozola hammered in a loose ball from the edge of the area.

Efforts from Iniesta from outside the area (41st minute) and inside the area (45th minute) came close to doubling Spain's lead.

CHANGES

The second hald saw many changes. Jordi Alba had a chance in the 59th minute but was soon made to pay for his miss when Switzerland broke. De Gea fumbled Lichtsteiner's shot and Ricardo Rodríguez was on the spot to tap home.

Spain pushed for a winner. A brilliant Lucas Vazquez touch didn't lead to a goal and Nacho came close twice in stoppage time but the game ended in a draw.
