The former Barcelona midfielder has not had the best time at Juventus so far

Former Barcelona midfielder Arthur Melo could return to Spain after Sevilla asked about the possibility of taking him on loan from Juventus.

The Brazilian has not settled at Juve and according to Calciomercato, Sevilla sporting director Monchi is keen to take him to the Sanchez Pizjuan.

Sevilla initially want to take Arthur on loan but would also include an option to make the move permanent in any potential deal.

A restart back in Spain could be what Arthur needs. He had good spells during his time at Barça but has fallen off the international radar since moving to Juve as part of a deal that saw Miralem Pjanic move the other way.

Sevilla are looking to strengthen their midfield and need a long-term replacement for Fernando, who is 34 and out of contract at the end of the season.

In addition to Arthur, Sevilla are also targetting former Villarreal forward Cedric Bakambu, who is available on a free transfer after his contract in China with Beijing Guoan expired.
