Spain's Carles Perez: "A shame to pull out of U21 duty because of muscle problem"
The Barcelona forward will not travel for the game in Montenegro next week
Barcelona forward Carles Perez has published a brief message after being forced to pull out of Spain's U21 team with a muscle problem on Tuesday.
Ansu Fati, his Barça teammate, will take his place in the squad for next week's Euro 2021 qualifier against Montenegro.
"It's a shame to have to leave the team due to a muscle problem," Perez wrote. "Good luck to all my teammates in the next game against Montenegro. I will be supporting you from Barcelona. Now to recover for upcoming games."
Perez will return to Barcelona for treatment. The Blaugrana are next in action next weekend against Eibar, they then travel to Slavia Prague in the Champions League before hosting Real Madrid in La Liga.
