Carlos Soler and Pablo Sarabia got the goals for Luis Enrique's team

After a sluggish start to the Nations League Spain moved top of the group with a 2-0 win over the Czech Republic in Malaga at La Rosaleda.

Carlos Soler, a potential Barcelona target, put La Roja ahead from Marco Asensio’s set-up in the first half, before Pablo Sarabia netted after the break.

Ansu Fati did not come on from the bench with Luis Enrique instead opting to throw on Ferran Torres and Gavi in the second half.

Portugal suffered a defeat by Switzerland allowing Spain to go top of the group.

Spain are unbeaten in the competition so far, and Unai Simon helped with that here, making good saves from Vaclav Cerny and Jan Kuchta in the first half, before Soler’s opener.

Gavi, who has thrilled so far for Luis Enrique’s side, added momentum after the break but it was his Barcelona colleague Ferran Torres who set up the second for Sarabia to tap home.
