The Spanish Olympic football team got the goal they had been waiting for

Spain left it late to beat Australia, but they managed to do it with a 1-0 win, thanks to Mikel Oyarzabal’s goal.

They struggled to a 0-0 draw in their first game against Egypt and it looked like it was going to be another frustrating evening in Japan.

Oyarzabal hit the crossbar as Australia defended deep and tried to shut them out. The Socceroos failed to create much of note and eventually Spain got the winner.

Marco Asensio crossed for Oyarzabal to nod home in the 80th minute. Next up for Spain are Argentina in the final group game.

Pedri played the whole match, while Eric Garcia also did so, but Oscar Mingueza is injured after his problem against Egypt.
