Luis Enrique spoke to Deportes Cuatro ahead of the team’s clash with Poland, and made it clear that Alvaro Morata is going to start, despite the criticism that has come his way.
“I told him to keep doing the same and keep bringing us what he brings in attack and defence. Tomorrow we’ll go out there with Morata and 10 others,” said the former Barcelona coach.
He will go into more detail later on, in a press conference.
Luis Enrique also had a message to fans who have been critical of the team.
“I would tell them to whistle as hard as you can, me and whoever else you like, only if you see apathy and that we don’t feel like running.”
It was a way of telling the fans to respect the team and get behind them at La Cartuja on Saturday against Poland.
