The striker has been backed all week by the coach despite his critics

Alvaro Morata started for Spain after receiving a lot of criticism following the 0-0 draw with Sweden. Luis Enrique has backed him all week long and when he scored in the 25th minute, he knew who to thank.

Juventus striker Morata ran to the coach after finishing from close range from Gerard Moreno’s low cross-shot.

VAR had to take a look at the goal and once it was approved he steamed into the technical area to hug Luis Enrique.

“Morata and 10 others will play,” Luis Enrique had said before the game in a clear show of faith.
