Real Oviedo are lining up a move for the midfielder Jandro Orellana, who departed Barcelona when his contract expired on June 30.

Recently relegated Alaves have also shown an interest in Orellana, with fellow second division side Ovideo now joining the battle for the player.

According to 'La Nueva España', Oviedo sporting director Tito Blanco wants to bring in the ex-Barça man as he looks to strengthen the squad after just missing out on the playoffs this past season.

Blanco is looking for a midfielder who will complement Luisimi and feels Orellana fits that profile.

Orellana, 21, is from Gava and joined Barcelona in 2014 from Espanyol. He has been in and around the B team since 2018-19 and was called up to the first team by Xavi three times last season, although he did not make his senior debut for the Catalan club.
