The Juve man says he's proud to win awards but focused on team goals

Cristiano Ronaldo, who is the top scorer in the Champions League and one of the favorites for this year's Ballon d'Or, says that "individual prizes are no the main motivation" and that what is "important" is success with his team, Juventus.

"Scoring 700 career goals is now part of the past, I am thinking beyond that," he said. "I want to score more to help the team. The Ballon d'Or? Individual prizes aren't the main motivation, but obviously they're nice. I am happy and proud of them, but the priority is to win with Juventus and the national team. The records, after that, will arrive. For me, football is a challenge every year."

For CR7, "being 33, 34 years old doesn't mean I am at the end of my career. I am showing that. I feel in form, mature. You know what makes me happy? Winning. Getting home and seeing the faces of my kids, who congratulate me. That's my motivation."

On his role in the Juve team under new management, he added: "It's similar (to always), maybe I have a little more freedom. I am happy with the change (under Sarri). Now we play further forward, we have more possession and create a lot of chances. I like the new system a lot, I like that Sarri wants the team to play."
