Gonzalo Arconada is concerned about the gap opening up between Barcelona and the rest

Real Sociedad coach Gonzalo Arconada spoke in a press conference after his side were beaten 10-1 by Barcelona in the final of the first-ever Women's Spanish Supercopa.

Arconada, who seemed really affected by the defeat in Salamanca, lamented the difference between the two sides and asked the Royal Spanish Football Federation if this is what they want.

"Every team [in Spain] feels that we cannot compete with this Barca side," Arconada said. "The Federation will have to evaluate if this is what they wanted. It was always going to be a Barca win and we are the team that has suffered this humiliation.

"Foreign players keep on arriving and the majority of their [Spanish players] are on the bench. Their budget is much bigger and the Federation if they want them to humiliate the other teams."

La Real's coach admitted that his side was hurting but said they will bounceback: "We knew it would be tough but we weren't at the level we can be. Even so, we are proud to have been in the final, the first in the history of the women's game in Spain, and we're convinced it won't be the last."
