Zinedine Zidane's anger with Real Madrid is increasing with each passing day. Not surprisingly, it is centred around the club's failure to bring in his marquee midfield signing: Paul Pogba.
The reason behind this uncomfortable feeling is due to Zidane believing Madrid never truly wanted to sign the French midfielder. There have been no updates about negotiations with Manchester United, nor any traditional 'power plays' to convince Pogba to go public with his desire to move on. Zidane feels let down and lied to by Florentino Perez.
With the transfer window about to close, Zidane doesn't expect anything to change in that regard. The only new signing will be Areola as a replacement for the outgoing Keylor Navas. The coach prefers the Costa Rican to Thibaut Courtois but the board has told him the Belgian is first choice going forward.
Madrid's move for Neymar looks set to fail too. All is not well in Madrid.
