Zinedine Zidane: I feel for Ernesto Valverde
The coach lamented the departure of Barca's boss
Zinedine Zidane spoke about the sacking of Ernesto Valverde on Friday.
The Frenchman as per didn't want to get into matters not about his team, but did say: "I feel for Valverde." He said the ex-Barca coach is "a great coach who I respect" but in the football world "each club has their own objectives, at the big clubs it's like this and that is not going to change."
Zidane said what happened at Barca could happen to him "if we lose two games in a row. We always try to give 100 per cent but if things don't go well they will criticise me. You (the media) are those who say if it's good or bad."
On Quique Setien he added: "(Barca) will compete, whoever they have as coach. He will do his job and us ours, I always expect a competitive Barca."
