Zinedine Zidane: I am to blame for Valencia defeat
The coach did not want to make excuses after the three penalties
Real Madrid suffered a 4-1 defeat by Valencia at Mestalla on Sunday, with Carlos Soler scoring three penalties for the hosts.
However coach Zinedine Zidane did not want to blame the referee.
"Everything happened to us today," he said. "The referee is there to look at things. Three penalties and an own goal was too much for us.
"The blame is on me, I’m the coach and I have to find the solution in each game, for everything. The game changed completely after the equaliser. Sometimes this happens and I don’t like it.
"You can look for a thousand reasons but you can’t give excuses. When we lose, we all lose, and when we win, we all win, there is no individual to be blamed."
