Zidane shuts the door to Bale, James and Mariano
The coach does not count on any of those three or Kubo and Rodrygo who train with Castilla
Real Madrid have named their squad to travel to Austria to face Red Bull Salzburg in a friendly, their penultimate of the pre-season.
There are three absences that stand out. Gareth Bale, Mariano Diaz and James Rodriguez. The three need to resolve their futures and all look to be away from the Santiago Bernabeu. Bale is negotiating against the clock with Premier League teams and James could go to Napoli on loan.
Take Kubo and Rodrygo are not travelling either, instead staying under Raul's orders with Castilla. They have done well in pre-season but may not feature much for the first team.
Courtois and Jovic ae back in, while Zidane can finally also incorporate Eder Militao too, who returned late as he had more holiday after appearing at the Copa America with Brazil.
Injured players Mendy, Brahim, Modric and long term absentee Asensio also did not travel.
