The coach admitted that Madrid must look at both the sporting side, as well as the economical side of football

As the football world awaits the official confirmation of Achraf Hakimi's move from Real Madrid to Inter Milan, Zinedine Zidane gave his thoughts on the deal to see the young full back. As you'd expect, the coach towed the company line and admitted that sometimes transfers were done purely to balance the books.

"There's a club, a player and a coach. In the end, these decisions are made and that's it," confessed Zidane. "He's our player (at the moment) but anything can happen. He's had a good season (at Dortmund). But at this club there are two key elements: the financial side and the sporting side. Now isn't the moment to talk about that, although things might happen soon. But I can only talk about the sporting side and tomorrow we have a match."

Achraf will join Inter imminently. The agreement between the two clubs is complete and Madrid will earn €40m from his sale. They also retain the right to match any offer for the full back in the future. Hakimi flew out to Italy on Tuesday to undergo a medical.
