The Champions is the Champions but this is the best, said the Frenchman

Zinedine Zidane could not hide his tremendous happiness after Real Madrid beat Villarreal 2-1. It was his second title as a Madrid coach.

"Professionally speaking, it's the best day I've lived," said Zidane. "I'm happier than when we won the Champions. The Champions is the Champions but La Liga is the absolute best. It's a huge effort, 38 weeks, and until now nothing was decided. If you have more points than anyone else in the end... it's the absolute best."

The Madrid coach added: "It's the players that are important, before players they are people and I can only be very happy and delighted for them. Everyone has given everything and some play more than others but those that haven't played as much have given a lot to the group.

"We'd have liked to celebrate with our fans but for health reasons they couldn't be there. Let's see if the situation improves and in the future we can do it."
