Casemiro and Nacho Fernández also return to the squad after coming back earlier than expected from their injuries

Casemiro and Nacho Fernández, who were both injured against Celta Vigo in the Copa del Rey last month, have returned to Real Madrid's squad for the FIFA Club World Cup. Vinicius Jr the other surprise name to make the list for the matches which will take place between the 12th and 22nd December in the United Arab Emirates.

Nacho suffered a knee injury which was expected to rule him out until 2019. However the Spanish international has made incredible progress to be included for the tournament in late December.

Casemiro has also come back ahead of schedule, but perhaps not quite to the degree of his teammate. The Brazilian midfielder was originally set to miss six weeks of action.

The other surprising name on Madrid's squad list is that of Vinicius Jr. The tricky winger has rotated between the first team and Castilla this season but he'll board the plane for the Club World Cup.

However it isn't all good news for Santiago Solari. Jesus Vallejo, who has recently returned from yet another injury, isn't included. Goalkeeper Luca Zidane is another one who failed to make the cut.

Here is the complete squad list for Real Madrid in the FIFA Club World Cup: Courtois, Keylor Navas, Casilla; Carvajal, Sergio Ramos, Varane, Nacho, Marcelo, Odriozola, Reguilón; Kroos, Modric, Casemiro, Valverde, Llorente, Asensio, Isco, Dani Ceballos; Mariano, Benzema, Bale, Lucas Vázquez and Vinicius.
