Sergio Ramos will be able to play in the Champions League semifinals after UEFA decided not to punish him for going down to the tunnel during Real Madrid's 3-1 loss to Juventus.

Ramos was suspended for the game which means he's not allowed in that area of the stadium, but he still went down there in the second half as Juve drew the tie level.

The defender was still there as Cristiano Ronaldo converted a stoppage time penalty to send Madrid through to the last four once again.

According to UEFA rules, a banned player cannot go pitch side or be in the tunnel. Xabi Alonso breached those ruled in the 2014 Champions League final and was then banned for the UEFA Super Cup.

However, Ramos will escape a similar punishment. According to COPE, the reason the Spain international will get away with it is "because he didn't go on to the pitch and he behaved well in the zone he was in."
