The Belgian goalkeeper lamented the defeat by Girona on Sunday
Real Madrid Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois lamented his team's 2-1 defeat by Girona on Sunday in La Liga.
The loss leaves them third, nine points behind leaders Barcelona.
"I don't know what happened, I think in the first half we played well," said Courtois. "Sure, not at the rhythm that we were at against Atletico or Ajax, but I saved a couple and we went ahead on the scoreboard.
"Then they were better. I didn't see the penalty, it was a pity. With the score level we couldn't get the ball and I couldn't save Portu's effort.
"We lost three golden points. I don’t know if the league is lost, we’re back to where we were a month ago. The season is long and we have to keep winning games."
