TV station Cuatro has revealed Real Madrid's system of fines. The smallest are 250 euros and the largest is 3,000 euros, mainly for punctuality, being overweight and use of mobile phones.
The worst fine is 3,000 euros for missng training. They start after five minutes of lateness for training sessions or official events, taking into account that players are supposed to be there 45 mins before they start.
Five minutes means 250 euros, 15 mins 500 and after that, 1,000.
Use of mobiles is prohibited during physio therapy and away trips, with the dressing room supposed to be silent. That's a 250 euro fine, up to 1,000 for repeat offenders.
Being overweight or other offences, like trips on days off, interviews or commercial commitments not notified to and approved by the club, are also fines. 250 to 1,000 euros.
Cuatro added that those players not called up need to be at the dressing room at the start of the game and stay at the game at least until 10 minutes until the end. They must also give press conferences in club garb, while visits are prohibited on away trips.
