The worst Real Madrid in front of goal for 25 years
The club have scored 24 goals in 16 league matches and are having real trouble
Real Madrid have wet gunpowder. They can't score. They aren't creating much and so they can't even just blame it on a lack of accuracy. No. They are struggling and not since the 1993-4 season under Benito Floro have they scored as few goals as this at this point of the campaign.
With Karim Benzema's goal against Rayo Vallecano, Santiago Solari's men have 24 goals in 16 weeks, far less than the 56 scored by Mourinho's team in the 2011-12 season - 121 in total that year.
Solari starrted well with two goals at Real Valladolid and four against Celta Vigo, but they have stoopped scoring as much and it's hurting them, not the sort of stats that potential title winners should have.
With the Club World Cup around the corner Santiago Solari can't even call on Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale, with both set to miss the game against Kashima Antlers on Wednesday, the semi-final.
