They are into Brazilians at the moment and have signed several

Real Madrid once again have lined up a Brazilian gem as one of their main targets. In the next few days, Los Blancos, on the instructions of Juni Calafat, director of international football, are looking to sign 19-year-old centre-back Robert Renan, who is playing in the South American Under-20 Championship in Colombia, where the star player is Vitor Roque, the striker Barça are looking to bring in.

The left-sided central defender, who can also play as a full-back, stands out for his physical strength (he is 1.86m tall), his leadership, his ability to bring the ball out, and his aerial play. He is the leader of Brazil's defensive line and has just signed for Zenit St Petersburg. His signing could require an investment of 30 million euros.

Juni Calafat is convinced that the player is ready to join the first team next season and that he has the ideal profile to succeed at the Bernabeu.

His will be the sixth signing of a Brazilian player to arrive at the behest of the director of international football, who has the full confidence of president Florentino Pérez.

The previous signings were Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, Éder Militao, Reinier, who has yet to make his debut and is playing this season on loan at Girona after two seasons with Borussia Dortmund... and Endrick, who will only arrive in the summer of 2024. Madrid have invested 235 million euros in these five players, plus winger Vinicius Tobias, who is in the reserve team.

The curious thing about the signing of Robert Renan is that he belonged to Corinthians, the club where he came through, until a month ago when they sold him to Zenit in order to get Yuri Alberto. Had the deal gone through before the start of the South American U-20 Championship, the purchase price would have been much lower. St Petersburg are already rubbing their hands together.
