Zinedine Zidane is considering leaving Real Madrid this summer, Telemadrid have reported.
The French coach is tired physically and mentally. He has a year left on his deal that he signed in 2019, worth 13.5 million euros, but may step away anyway.
The season has been tough for Zidane, managing the squad and working with the club.
He has always been ambiguous when asked about his future, saying he prefers to think about the day to day.
When asked about Eden Hazard succeeding at Madrid he said he’s sure the Belgian will but he might not be around to see it because Hazard has a long contract.
Zidane has not decided anything yet. He has not got an offer that is making him think about it and doesn’t have any immediate chance of taking over the French national team - thought that is something that will come later as he is a young coach.
If he decides to go it will be the second time he’s walked out on Madrid after doing so at the end of May in 2018 after winning the Champions League title for the third consecutive time.
