Real Madrid have reached an agreement wth the North London side, the deal will go through subject to a medical

Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur over a €30m deal for Spanish left-back Sergio Reguilon. The deal will go through subject to the player successfully passing a medical with the English side.

Madrid will retain the option to buy-back Reguilon for €40m over the next two seasons and also have the right to match any future offer made for the defender.

REGUILON WANTS TO PLAY

Negotiations between the two sides advanced quickly after Manchester United refused to accept the buy-back clause. Spurs were happy to accept the terms due to their need for a new left-back. Zinedine Zidane has made it clear he doesn't want Reguilon at the club this season.

Real Madrid, despite their coach's reservations, believe Reguilon has the potential to play a role at the club going forward. Marcelo is out of contract in two years time and this could coincide with the defender being brought back to Madrid.

It's thought the deal with Reguilon could help the London club sign Gareth Bale this summer too. The Welsh forward is desperate to return to England after a tough couple of years in the Spanish capital.
