Sergio Ramos is right in the middle of Real Madrid's latest crisis and, as you'd expect from the captain, he's had his say on matters. He made a mistake by underestimating Ajax and the team lacked his leadership on the pitch as they crashed out to the Dutch giants.
Ramos defended the squad when Florentino Perez entered the dressing room to criticise their performance against Ajax but he didn't let them off the hook either. Away from the coaching staff and boardroom, in private, the captain spoke to the squad after their current situation.
According to 'El Transistor' and 'El Partidazo', Ramos spoke frankly and openly to the whole squad before training on Thursday morning. It was a honest, tough rallying cry as he demanded the team gave their all for the remaining 12 fixtures in LaLiga. The objective is to overtake Atletico Madrid and claim second spot.
He also had things to say about those who aren't being used too much this season: either join the fight to ensure Madrid finish the season strongly or leave the club in the summer.
