Rodrygo named best young player in the world ahead of Ansu Fati
The Real Madrid forward topped the rankings compiled by the website Goal
Real Madrid attacker Rodrgyo Goes has been named as the best young footballer in the world by Goal just ahead of Barcelona's Ansu Fati.
The website Goal released their NxGn list of the 50 best young talents in the world -- born after Jan. 1, 2001 -- as voted on by journalists from 39 countries around the world.
Madrid's Rodrygo claimed the first spot and was followed by Ansu. Other players of not include Reinier (Real Madrid), in fourth; Takefusa Kubo (RCD Mallorca, on loan from Madrid), in ninth; and Eric García (Manchester City), in 13th.
Barça's Claudia Pina is the highest placed Spaniard in the women's list at third, which is topped by the German Lena Oberdorf (SGS Essen).
