The German kicked the ball badly and Vlasic intercepted it to easily score

Real Madrid could not have started their second Champions League match in worse fashion, against CSKA in Moscow. Only a minute of the game had gone when Toni Kroos committed a terrible error to set up Vlasic for the opener.

Kroos tried to give a pass on the left, but the German kicked the ball all wrong and it landed straight at Vlasic's feet, with the forward easily beating Keylor Navas. An unexpected goal wildly celebrated at the Luzhniki.

Julen Lopetegui opted for rotations, leaving Sergio Ramos at home and Modric on the bench, and this was an early wake up call.
